Branch History

In the San Francisco Bay Area, a Sogetsu group was first formed in1966 which was the predecessor for our current organization. The San Francisco Bay Area Branch was officially certified in 1976. It has more than 100 members and meets regularly for workshops, programs and exhibitions.

The Branch, which is a nonprofit organization, is governed by a small board of directors who plan and produce exhibitions, demonstration programs and special events each year.

Meetings are usually held at the San Francisco County Fair Building, 9th Avenue and Lincoln Way, Golden Gate Park.
